Europool received the Champion Enterprise 2020 award from Italy Post.
Champions 2020 is the third edition of the survey L'Economia-ItalyPost on the best small and medium-sized Italian companies. It is divided into two size clusters: in one companies with revenues ranging from 20 to 120 million, in the other those with revenues between 120 and 500 million.
The research of ItalyPost Research Centre is characterized by the absolute scientific rigor in the analysis of the available financial statements of the last six years, based on a series of absolutely stringent criteria, both corporate and Cagr, Ebitda, Rating and Pfn*.
THE CLASSIFICATION BY REGIONS
The region with the largest number of companies champions confirms Lombardy with 322 companies, followed by Veneto with 175 companies and, immediately behind, with a surprisingly high number compared to the recent past, Emilia Romagna with 141 companies.
An interesting data can be obtained by paying attention to Modena, which has 25 champion companies, Reggio Emilia which has 21 and Parma which has 19 - provinces located in the heart of an emerging region like Emilia Romagna.
EMILIA SURPASSES VENETO AND PERFORMS BETTER THAN LOMBARDY: NEW GEOGRAPHIES OF GDP
What is striking is not only the number of companies that are champions in the business/population ratio, but the fact that the total turnover, equal to 13.411 billion euros, is higher than the 11.391 billion of Veneto, and that the average turnover, equal to 95 million euros per company, and much more than the 88 million businesses in Lombardy and far more than the 65 million in Veneto.
Reading these data, there is evidence of a concentration of companies able to establish themselves both dimensionally and for profitability in the territories of motor and packaging valley, while the areas of the Prosecco hills and, even, the Lombard valleys of Brescia and Bergamo seem not to keep pace with an equally impetuous growth.
Europool would like to thank all its valuable employees for their excellent results.
