The client is a luxury brand specialized in bottling and selling natural bottled water. Since its inception, the company has paired its operations with sustainable projects aimed at protecting the environment and local communities.
The water springs from a sustainable artesian aquifer, located in an untouched rainforest surrounded by dormant volcanoes. This geographical position naturally shields it from external agents, ensuring water of the highest purity.
Since 2004, the company has been part of a larger international group that supports its growth and development in the global market.
The client needed to increase the production capacity of its plant with the installation of two PET lines capable of producing approximately 40,000 bottles per hour, handling formats ranging from 330 to 1,500 ml.
Given the premium nature of the products, the main requirement was to ensure that the bottles maintained an impeccable aesthetic, free from any marks, streaks, or surface scratches. In traditional bottling lines, the production flow inevitably generates contacts, friction, and pressure between bottles. On particularly smooth plastic surfaces, such stresses can cause permanent marks (scuffing), compromising the perceived quality of the final product.
To preserve the aesthetic quality of the bottles and ensure an almost completely contactless production flow, we developed two custom lines, each equipped with our exclusive Twin Buffer. This innovative solution, specifically designed to handle the unique square and unconventional shape of the bottles, ensures smooth and controlled movement throughout the process.
The Twin Buffer, strategically positioned between the blow-fill monoblock and the labeling machine, keeps the flow consistently organized up to the packers, thanks to a continuous divider that minimizes the risk of contact while guaranteeing efficiency and reliability.
